Salt Lake City, Utah – July 26, 2016 - H. Burton Embry, the Executive Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer for Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc., has been named President of Mortgage Compliance Professionals Association of America (MCPAOA), a new organization for Mortgage Compliance Professionals.
In the role as President of MCPAOA, Embry will provide leadership for members to enhance their professional skills, keep up with current compliance trends and events, help enable the exchanging of ideas and best practices that will help members with their day-to-day business responsibilities and help improve their institutions’ performance and financial stability.
“We are thrilled to have Burton’s extensive compliance market knowledge as the head of our new organization,” Ben Slayton, Founder of MCPAOA stated, adding that Embry “will play an extremely important role in moving MCPAOA forward as the preeminent compliance organization in the mortgage industry.”
Embry is currently the Executive Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer for Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc., and is responsible for PRMI’s risk, regulatory and compliance management programs.
Embry has more than 35 years in the financial and mortgage banking industry with over 30 of those years focusing on mortgage compliance and quality assurance matters. He is a nationally recognized compliance leader in the mortgage industry, having been a successful regulatory compliance executive for leading mortgage lending companies such as GE Capital Mortgage, Banc One Financial Services, and NationsCredit.
MCPAOA consists of a diverse membership of regulatory compliance professionals, in-house legal counsel, risk management, quality assurance, and loan servicing compliance professionals who work for the nations state and federal chartered banks, credit unions, the nations independent mortgage banking firms and other mortgage industry professionals.
