In the spirit of Ron Burgundy, we're kind of a big deal. That is, if you're into mortgage news. But, really, there's some good stuff in here.
PRMI donates more than 1,900 pounds of food
Salt Lake City, UT – November 23, 2015—Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. (PRMI), one of the nation’s top independent, residential mortgage lenders, gave back to the community with a donation of 95 complete thanksgiving meals to the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake, the YWCA Utah, and the Rescue Mission of Ogden. PRMI challenged its employees to fill boxes with thanksgiving food staples and PRMI would match one turkey per completed box. The employees came together and completed a total of 95 boxes, weighing in with more than 1,900 pounds of food.
“Giving back is an important part of our culture and this time of year is no exception,” said Dave Zitting, CEO and President of PRMI. “We gave our team to a challenge and they did not disappoint!”
The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake and the Rescue Mission Ogden assists members in the community who are in need of help, regardless of their station in life, race, religion, age or disability. They offer a free, yearlong New-Life Residential Rehabilitation Recovery Program for men and women, breakfast, lunch and dinner, food boxes for families in need, emergency sleeping accommodations, free clothing, and more.
“PRMI and its employees contacted us at the right time”, said Chris Croswhite, Executive Director of the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake. “One of our Thanksgiving donors was not able to give this year and now because of PRMI, we are able to feed more than 55 families in need.”
Since 1906 the YWCA Utah has strengthened the safety, health and well-being of Utah women and their families. It opened the first domestic violence shelter in Utah in 1976 and continues to innovate, providing immediate needs for safety, shelter, food and clothing to longer term needs for housing, child care, economic empowerment and more.
“We are so grateful that PRMI and its employees came to our assistance to help provide the families our affordable housing program with a Thanksgiving meal,” said Amberlie Phillips, Chief Development Officer of the YWCA Utah. “Families in this program are working towards independence, and cooking a holiday meal for themselves and their loved ones can be very empowering. Thanks to PRMI, we were able to provide this opportunity to 20 families.”
